Texas designates more coronavirus vaccine centers in the Houston area

HOUSTON – More coronavirus vaccine centers have been designated in the Houston area.

According to State Department of Health Services officials, more than 333,000 first doses of the vaccine are expected to be delivered next week to 260 providers across Texas. Texas is also requesting a 500,000-second dose, officials said.

Among these providers are 79 large-scale vaccination-oriented centers.

The state previously named three centers in the Houston area. Health officials on Saturday released a list showing that several more centers had been established in the Houston area.
