For the first time since LSU and Louisiana Tech’s previous offensive bout, Willie Allen committed to the Wolverines last fall, Michigan football has incorporated a player from the NCAA transfer portal.
Hailing from the 2018 recruiting class, Alan Bowman was a three-star quarterback from Grapevine (TX). Bowman, a style professional, played three seasons at Texas Tech, where he completed 67% of his passes over 5,260 yards and 33 touchdowns on 17 interceptions in 713 attempts. And on Sunday, he joins an ongoing quarterback battle between Cade McNamara and former five-star JJ McCarthy as he announced on Twitter that he was committed to the Wolverines.
Although he played 19 games in three seasons, he changed his sophomore year and was left with two years of eligibility.
