Evening, el decidedly old-school first-person shooter from 2018, a new edition of the even older school is achieved that is based on classic puzzle games such as Chip’s challenge i Sokoban. And no, this is no joke, despite having dropped the first word of its existence on April 1st.
Evening of 82 has everything you could expect from one Evening game — shotguns, cultists, explosions — except that it is now based on twists, playing at a snail’s pace compared to the dizzying speed of the original game. As such, the demake is less focused on contractions, Earthquake– Inspired shooting and more about dodging strategic bullets, pushing blocks and solving puzzles.
Besides, Evening of 82 will come packaged with a level editor, which will allow you to create your own dangerous puzzles from scratch. Players can change these levels by changing simple text strings. The game will also have the support of Steam Workshop, which will allow further sharing and customization.
As already mentioned, Evening originally, creator David Szymanski dropped the news of his new puzzle on April 1 and let everyone continue to believe it was a joke. But no! We’re here a week later and the very real puzzler is already on Steam. This is the best punchline possible.
Evening of 82 it has no release date at the moment, but Szymanski said it should be ready “in a few months.”
