Being Erika Jayne is “XXPEN $ IVE” after all.
Lawyers for the trustee overseeing Girardi Keese’s bankruptcy found the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star company spent more than $ 25,000,000 on its American Express bill, attendees and a staff glam, according to a lawsuit letter sent to his lawyer Thursday.
The letter, obtained exclusively by Page Six, stated that the money had been transferred from her husband’s law firm, Tom Girardi, to Jayne’s firm, EJ Global LLC, and states that she is the sole owner of the company.
“Mrs. Girardi signed the return under penalty of perjury and personally approved the charges assigned to the breakdown,” the letter says. A source indicated that the letter would be filed in bankruptcy proceedings as part of an amended complaint.
Jayne’s lawyer replied that “no money went to Erika,” and that she never had any role in running her husband’s business.
The trustee’s attorneys claimed that from 2008 to 2020, $ 14,259,012.84 was charged to an American Express card. Her company also spent $ 1,532,774.88 on the McDonald’s Selznick Associates Agency – which describes itself as “the first agency dedicated exclusively to representing dancers and choreographers” – and another $ 1,417,587.50 on purchases unknown.
Jayne’s company also reportedly gave Stephanie Shepherd – Kim Kardashian’s former executive assistant – $ 102,596.77 and Opus Beauty – an agency representing “the best and most influential and sought-after artists in the business” for $ 17,415 from her LLC.
Mario Dedivanoic, better known as Makeup by Mario, received $ 1,000.
E5 Global Media, published by Billboard and The Hollywood Reporter, received $ 8,480, while the Los Angeles Times magazine was paid $ 10,400.
Jayne, 50, through her company, also appears to have paid various public relations groups large sums of money from the account, among other charges.
Ronald Richards, a lawyer representing the trustee, told Page Six in a statement that Jayne owes Girardi Keese more than $ 28 million for his most interest purchases.
“It’s irrelevant if she knew her husband had misappropriated funds from customers,” Richards ’statement added. “What is relevant is that he received a total and total value to collect and a formal request for payment was sent. We hope she responds to her statement on the air last night that the victims are the first. “
Jayne’s lawyer, however, told Page Six in a separate statement that “Erika never had or has any personal liability for any debt or obligation of EJ Global LLC, period.”
Her lawyer also described the landlord’s allegations as “malicious” and “reckless advertising taking” as “none of the payments and no money went to Erika”.
“On behalf of Erika, we will seek all appropriate remedies against all parties responsible for claims like these,” Jayne’s attorney’s statement read.
His lawyer added that the star “RHOBH”, who filed for divorce from Girardi, 82, in November 2020 and who strongly denied any offense, “has the right to continue his life without this type. of harassment “
Girardi Keese was forced to go bankrupt last year as Girardi was repeatedly accused of embezzling money intended for customers and was sued by a class action company representing the victims of Lion Air 610 for allegedly “embezzling” money through their reality star divorce.
However, a judge ruled in July that Jayne could have to pay the victims out of pocket as he received funds from the firm.
The “How Many F-ks” singer was previously accused of refusing to hand over her financial records in the case, but was firm on the records that “she has been and is willing to cooperate fully” with the investigation.
