The 2021 vote gives no entry

The 2021 Baseball Hall of Fame class will be empty.

Zero candidates reached the threshold of 75% of the BBWAA vote. Notable are Curt Schilling (71.1), Barry Bonds (60.7) and Roger Clemens (61.6).

All three have one more year of ballot eligibility before Hall of Fame destinations move to the Veterans Committee.

This is the ninth time that zero entrants have been voted in the Hall of Fame. The classes of 2013, 1996, 1971, 1965, 1960, 1958, 1950 and 1945 were also empty.

However, Cooperstown will still have a celebration. Following the cancellation of the 2020 ceremony due to the concerns of COVID-19, Derek Jeter, Larry Walker, Ted Simmons and Marvin Miller will finally get their consecration.
