The 55th Super Bowl arrives and with it come a myriad of inventive, funny, and occasionally weird TV commercials. A single 30-second TV spot during the Super Bowl can cost up to $ 5.6 million, and it’s no wonder why: a captive audience of sports fans in the kitchen equals maximum viewing.
The 2021 Super Bowl looks significantly different from previous years, with a mandatory mask and a limited number of face-to-face attendees, but at least the ads were as plentiful as ever. Below is a list of the 7 best Super Bowl LV commercials:
1. Budweiser COVID-19 vaccination donation.
Okay, technically it’s not a traditional ad, but it’s powerful, though; this year, Budweiser decided to fully participate in the Super Bowl advertising race and instead donated the money the company would have spent to publicize the COVID-19 vaccination. Coke and Pepsi did the same, and we’re better off for that.
2. Will Ferrell for GM.
Will Ferrell, Kenan Thompson, Awkwafina and a bit of fun get into Norway for no particular reason? We are on board.
3. Drake for State Farm.
“Substitutes have no lines,” Drake is asked to understand in this ad. Why is it so fun to see him wearing a red State Farm polo?
4. Lil Nas X for Logitech.
Nothing will ever surpass last year’s Lil Nas X “Cool Ranch” ad, but this Logitech ad – in which she wears really shocking pink pajamas – is a second.
5. Dan Levy for M & Ms.
An excellent fresh Saturday night live Dan Levy, who organizes a concert, brings his irrepressible charm to a TV spot that focuses on the power of apology.
