Apple today announced its new iPhone 13 Pro phone during the company’s California Streaming event. It is the first iPhone to be offered with 1TB of storage as an option, allowing owners to store twice the maximum capacity of 512GB on the normal iPhone 13.
Previously, Apple has offered 1 TB to store the iPad, but has kept the maximum of 512 GB on the side of the iPhone Pro to date. Rumors had suggested we would get a 1TB iPhone this year and come two years after Samsung shipped its Galaxy S10 Plus with a 1TB storage option for $ 1,600.
Apple also comes up with iPhone storage on standard models. The base model of the iPhone 13 will now ship with 128 GB instead of the 64 GB of storage found in the iPhone 12.
Apple’s iPhone Pro 13 will start at $ 999 and will ship on September 24th. The 1 TB storage option will be available on the iPhone 13 Pro for $ 1,499 and $ 1,599 on the larger iPhone 13 Pro Max.
