The availability of Ohio State Big Ten championship players was announced Saturday

We want to be very clear that there has been nothing official in the state of Ohio, and that head coach Ryan Day confirmed that the team is scheduled to fly and play the Big Ten Championship Game against Northwestern Saturday.

However, we’ll address it because rumors are flying high about the Buckeyes amid another mild coronavirus outbreak. And while we typically receive a player availability report on Fridays, none will be provided from the OSU athletic department until Saturday morning about an hour before game time.

Read what you want with this and as soon as we receive the report, we will have confirmation of who is part of the team and not. We will, of course, respect the privacy of individual players, as the university always does, but the absences of such an important match will be noticeable, as Ohio State will play its fourth consecutive Big Ten championship.

So, long story short: stay tuned and as soon as Ohio State publishes this information, we’ll have it by tomorrow morning.
