The bald driver of the London bus, 29, is left crying after receiving a hair system

A London bus driver who started losing his hair as a teenager was left crying after being fitted with a “hair replacement system” that took him “decades out of his age”.

Adam Sinclair, 29, has been aware of his slender locks since he was 19, even with ex-girlfriends hinting that he would have to pay for a hair system.

To Adam, who has 92,000 TikTok followers, the Novo Cabelo clinic in Durham County offered a £ 350 free hair system, with owner Rob Wood filming his reaction. The video has gone viral on TikTok, garnering over 2 million views.

Adam was very self-conscious with his bald head in front of the system and people thought his lack of hair made him old.

Rob used the capillary system technique. A The hair system is created by hand weaving human or synthetic hair on a particular base of material, such as ends.

The base is then adhered to the individual’s head with the preferred method of adhesion (duct tape or adhesive), and cut and mixed to make it undetectable.

Each hair system lasts three to four months and is cleaned every month, with a two-hour adjustment that costs £ 350.

Followers have been quick to tell Rob that he looks 10 years younger after the procedure.

Adam said, “It was such a weird feeling to hear some scissors around my ears, and when the bandage came out, the shock was amazing. I could barely speak.

“At first I didn’t recognize myself, but when I did I liked what I saw. It was the first time in years that I liked what I saw. That was overwhelming. I booted up a lot.

“I can’t tell you how many girls have sent me messages in the last few days, it’s unreal. They just jump in my inbox and that feels good.

“I’ve never struggled to meet people, but I feel like I’ve gone from chasing myself to chasing myself. I was fighting the tide because my personality was there, but my hair wasn’t.

“I ceremoniously threw off all my hats. I never thought it would suit them, but it was better than walking around looking very old.

Adam used to have a generous head of hair, on the left, but he started losing it at 19, and soon wore a head on the right.

How does a hair system work?

A The hair system is created by hand weaving human or synthetic hair on a particular base of material, such as ends.

The system adapts to the scalp before washing it.

The hair replacement is then trimmed to match the scalp.

The base is then adhered to the individual’s head with the preferred method of adhesion (duct tape or adhesive), and cut and mixed to make it undetectable.

“I feel a lot more confident shooting now and attracting women I’d like to date. I even had an appointment on Friday night.

“A lot of guys think you’re trying to fool someone, but 2.5 million people know I have a hair system and girls don’t care. If you have confidence in your appearance, it shines.

Having the following online gave me the confidence to show people that you don’t have to be afraid to go and try things out. I’m just a bus driver, a normal man. I am not a model.

“The partners have asked me if I would consider this kind of thing in the past by the partners, but I’ve always been dead there, saying ‘it’s me.’

“They always tagged me in some weird video and danced around a bit. Even on my Tinder profile I would tell them my hair won’t come back.

“I was destroyed at the time, but you’re just trying to be an owner, but it definitely lowers your self-esteem. It was something that always bothered me.

“It baffled a lot of people and meant I had to meet people in person because people would look up and say ‘it’s not my cup of tea.’

Adam has been a licensed bus driver for five years, but only moved to London shortly before the pandemic began when a previous relationship didn’t work out.

His @Londonbusdriver page started to grow in June when he started suggesting areas where other single mates should take their dates as alternatives to the usual London venues.

Adam, photographed at the end of treatment, wanted to test the capillary system of the feet and encourage other men to do so.

The 29-year-old admits he has been studying hair replacement treatment for the past five years, but is too scared that people will make fun of his new style.

Rob said, “I didn’t know if he would like it or hate it, but his reaction was really emotional. It was lovely to watch.

‘He realized he was really missing his hair and that’s where the tears came from. When I saw this reaction, it reminded me that I was doing the right job and that I loved my job. It’s like a drug.

“He was so self-conscious without getting out of his head. It was a big deal. Once he came back with a hair system, he couldn’t wait to go out in public. He was a different person.”
