Members of the heart of the kingdom, who performed at the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, speak in defense of Prince Charles as the royal family faces accusations of racism stemming from the Sunday night pow-wow in Sussex with Oprah Winfrey.
Mrs. Karen Gibson, founder and director of The Kingdom’s Choir, told TMZ on Thursday that it was Prince Charles who invited the African-American group to bless the congregation during Harry and Meg’s wedding, an invitation he believed was sincere. He also claims that Charles has “deviated” to congratulate them on their success since the event.
Markle stated during the bomb interview in question that a member of the royal family expressed concern about the skin color of his son and Harry’s Archie, as Markle’s mother is African American. Winfrey has confirmed that neither the Queen nor Prince Phillip are members of the family in question, which has led many to point to Charles and / or his eldest son, Prince William.
For his part, William insisted that members of the royal family “are not nearly a racist family” when questioned. Charles has yet to address the allegations, only letting out a nervous laugh when asked about the controversial questions and answers.
