Allendale, MI – A runner found a body on the campus of Grand Valley State University, and police are investigating whether the death was suspicious. The body was found Saturday morning, December, near the medieval athletic stadium south of West Campus Drive. 12. GVSU President Plomina Mandella said in a written statement to the campus community later on Saturday that the person was a student. “It simply came to our notice then. I offer my deepest condolences to the family and friends of the student, “he wrote.” The incident is being aggressively investigated by the police. Mandela wrote. GVSU issued a warning of death to students and teachers earlier Saturday. The GVSU Police Department, Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department and Michigan State Police are investigating. Mandela said GVSU police will have additional staff on campus for the rest of the weekend and GVSU counseling center staff are ready to assist.
