The immediate cause of death of Eddie Van Hollen has been revealed.
Nine months after he passed away, he received an official death certificate TMZ Guitar legend reveals that he died after a cerebral event or stroke. Pneumonia, anemia myelodysplastic syndrome and lung cancer were also cited as underlying causes.
On Oct. 6, Van Hollen’s son, Wolfgang, announced that his father had died after a “long and difficult battle with cancer.” The certificate lists several “significant conditions” that contributed to his father’s death, including square cell cancer of the head and neck (skin cancer) and atrial fibrillation (irregular heartbeat).
Wolfgang recently released Mammoth WVH’s first single, “Distance”, as a tribute to his father.
“As my pop continues to struggle with various health issues, I was imagining what my life would be like without him and how badly I would miss him,” said junior Van Hollen after the song was released. “While this song is incredibly personal, I think anyone can relate it to the idea of causing deep loss in their own lives.”
He promised to create his own path, instead of riding his father’s coats. “There are many more ways to honor my father than playing Panama,” he said Recently tweeted. “By being my own musician, I value my father more than I play a father. [Van Halen] Song. I like to listen to VH songs. Go to Spotify because I’m not a jukebox. “
