The CEO of CPS Energy says the outages have almost been resolved, working to curb the billing system

SAINT ANTHONY – Energy has also been restored in St. Anthony’s overnight and the cut-off situation is almost resolved after this week’s devastating winter storm.

CPS Energy CEO Paula Gold-Williams said Saturday morning during a briefing that the remaining outages are very low and not related to the winter weather, but are due to equipment failures or other problems.

However, overnight there was a disruption to 1,630 customers living near Cupples Road and Menefee Boulevard after a car hit one of the utility poles, according to Gold-Williams. The service of these customers has since been restored.

By 10 a.m., the CPS outage map shows that there are now fewer than 100 customers experiencing an outage. You can see the latest news on outages in the area here.
