Miriam’s theme
Publisher 505 Games and developer ArtPlay have shared some more images of the incoming “classic mode”, which is heading towards the gothic platform adventure Bloodstain: Ritual of the night next month.
The classic mode will see Miriam face Hellhold and her ministry of darkness in an old school 2D platforming action, very similar to the fine Castlevania SNES era titles. Fans of these games will immediately recognize the style of play in the following tweet, with images of Miriam climbing stairs, jumping chasms, crushing chandeliers, and facing an army of monsters armed with a deadly whip. Simon would be very proud.
Classic mode is one of the selections of free DLC additions released by Blood stains: Ritual of the night since its initial launch in 2019. Igarashi’s crowded adventure has since received alternate protagonists, Randomizer and Boss Revenge modes, as well as a mobile port. More content is expected in 2021, including new stability updates for the Nintendo Switch edition.
Classic mode recovers the old school game as you fight through five levels of demons and challenge Gebel’s deadly bosses.
