The CNM will evaluate aspiring TC judges tomorrow

Tomorrow the National Council of Magistracy (CNM) will meet for the third time in this government to evaluate dozens of candidates who have been nominated to be judges of Constitutional Court (TC).

The session was convened by President Luis Abinader, who chairs the CNM, and is scheduled to begin at 7:00 pm, where the credentials of 72 judicial candidates will be assessed, prior to a pre-selection.

These public hearings are a requirement of Law 138-11, which also provides that verification of the requirements must be carried out after they have been cleared with a minimum of five votes in favor.
