FORECAST SUMMARY
This week is quiet weather.
Enjoy sunny skies on Sunday. Even though the wind is gentle, it will still be cold with a high of 40. Look for another nice sunset at 16:54.
The sky becomes cloudy tonight. So it’s a cloudy start to the work week Monday morning.
But the clouds break at lunchtime and we are sunny in the afternoon.
Once the sun comes back, it stays around Thursday. The wind also stays mild until Thursday.
On Friday, a cold front crosses in the evening, so in the afternoon we will get quite cloudy as the front approaches. It is a weak cold front, so it only brings clouds. We will stay dry while crossing. Now, Friday will also be quite windy for us as this front approaches. Then on Saturday it will stay windy as we get colder behind the front.
After a sunny start on Saturday, it gets quite dark in the afternoon. They are lake-effect clouds, actually. The snow won’t go down to our part of PA and NJ, but the clouds will. The west and center of the PA will see the snow.
Next Sunday is sunnier. We will start with little wind in the morning, but we will lose the wind in the afternoon. As this happens, we can be sunny all day; we don’t get the lake effect clouds again.
Up: The future radars we use to predict have a snowstorm in the forecast for the start of the January 18 work week.
Too early to pinpoint a day (January 18-20) or if it will happen, but I just wanted to let you know that we’re seeing something. The models had it for a few days. We will keep you up to date!
