Sony has unveiled a new Black Midnight edition of the PS5 Pulse 3D wireless headphones, which will be released in October.
The latest PlayStation blog post noted that the new color option would match the same color scheme as the MidSense DualSense Black controller released by Sony in June. The controller will begin rolling out globally to participating retailers next month. Although the blog post did not specify the price or release date, Sony’s official website already has pre-order headphones for $ 99.99 (same as the white model) with scheduled release date for October 22nd.
IGN reviewed the Pulse 3D wireless headphones, which received a 9/10 on our rating scale. We noticed that the headphones go beyond sounding PS5 games; it makes the games feel more alive.
The announcement of a new color variant for Pulse 3D headphones comes on the same day as the second major PS5 update, introducing a number of new features to Sony’s ninth-generation console, which includes a new feature equalizer control for Pulse 3D headphones and the option to expand the internal storage on the console.
With a Midnight Black controller and Midnight Black headphones, many will now wonder: when will we get a Midnight Black console to match?
