The creator of Devil May Cry mocks the next game

After releasing Devil May Cry 5 in 2019 and a new one Special edition from the action title for next-generation platforms just a couple of months ago, the game’s director is now teasing the next one. While it hasn’t fully revealed what Capcom’s development team is working on, it looks like a warning of some sort could arrive soon.

In a new post on Twitter, Capcom’s Hideaki Itsuno posted a new image and statement to celebrate the new year. Itsuno began the tweet begging players to give Vergil’s new DLC Devil May Cry 5 a shot if they haven’t done so before mentioning what’s to come in the future. The beloved video game creator said his team’s next project was apparently running in parallel with DMC5 and, for the time being, it is still on track. Itsuno ended his tweet by saying that this upcoming game is still quite a long way off, but he asked fans to be excited about his upcoming revelation.

Viouslybviamente, the big question here is what Itsuno and the Capcom team are working on now. While no blatant jokes can be found in this tweet, we do have some worthy assumptions about what might come next based on what has happened in recent years.

Dragon’s Dogma 2, a sequel to the 2012 action-adventure title directed by Itsuno, seems to be the most likely candidate to be the one being worked on. In the past, Itsuno made it clear that he wanted to make a sequel to the game for quite some time and almost chose to do so instead of developing. Devil May Cry 5. In addition, previous reports in recent months have stated that Capcom is already actively developing Dragon’s Dogma 2.

While it remains to be seen if this is really what Capcom is creating, as Itsuno suggests, it may be a while before we put it in our hands. With the fact that it is so far away, what this game ends up becoming will surely not reach the latest hardware and will probably be done exclusively for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X / S and PC.

So expect Itsuno and the rest of the Capcom team to be actively performing Dragon’s Dogma 2, or could this be another project entirely? Let me know your thoughts in the comments below or visit me on Twitter at @ MooreMan12 to chat more.
