He Stardew Valley The creator has reaffirmed that he is unsure of future updates to the popular agricultural simulator.
During a live replay of Twitch for the first Stardew Valley Cup, Eric ‘ConcernedApe’ Barone mentioned how he is currently focusing on his ‘next game’. As it takes precedence, it cannot be said that there will be another update for Stardew in the future.
“I’m not saying there will be another Stardew Valley update. I don’t even know. Right now I’m focused on my next game. So, we’ll see.”
Barone made similar comments last September before the release of the Stardew Valley 1.5 update, noting how he wasn’t “willing to commit” to the updates beyond, but didn’t think it would necessarily be the end.
“I wouldn’t be surprised if there was another Stardew Valley update, or several updates, or a Stardew Valley 2. Who knows? There’s currently no Stardew Valley 2; after 1.5, I’ll decide what the next step will be for Stardew Valley But I’d say there’s probably going to be another step for Stardew Valley. In the meantime, I’m also working on a couple of new projects (solo projects), so I have a lot to do. “
