The critics position ‘Soul’ as the award-winning animated film this 2021

Pixar’s ‘Soul’ is listed by moviegoers, fans, streaming users and critics as the best animated film of 2020.

That she will be awarded in 2021 at the most important ceremonies in the film industry would not be a rarity. Its combination of real life, the value of our souls, our purpose on earth and our passion for music makes ‘Soul’ a perfect film for both adults and children.

Recently, the specialized site ‘Rotten Tomatoes’, in charge of evaluating the productions and always correct in its forecasts of Welsh face like the one of the Oscars, realized its critic to ‘Soul’, and they did not fall short in praises for the film directed by Pete Docter, with actor Jamie Foxx playing the protagonist Joe Gardner.

“A beautiful film to watch. ‘Soul’ demonstrates that Pixar’s power to deliver exceptional entertainment for all ages remains intact,” was the general consensus of ‘Rotten Tomatoes’.

“By alternating between the two worlds,‘ Soul ’finds an almost extraordinary visual and soundscape,” expresses Esther Zuckerman, a renowned film critic. His colleague Richard Roeper of the Chicago Sun-Times commented, “The music covers every frame and Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross will surely be nominated for another Oscar for their jazz score.”

“The Movie of the Year” by People

After its streaming release, ‘Soul’ was named by the prestigious People as “the film of the year”.

The premiere of the Pixar film coincided with that of ‘Wonder Woman 194’ with Gal Gadot as the Wonder Woman, completely displacing her in her HBO Max premiere, which could not match in plays and new users to the animated film.
