Good news for all partygoers awaiting New Year celebrations as metropolises, including Mumbai and Bengaluru, have extended the time limit for restaurants, pubs and other party venues to stay open on New Year’s Eve of the Year.
In cities like Mumbai and Bengaluru, party venues can stay open until 5am and 2am respectively on New Year’s Eve.
Special late night New Year’s Eve trains to Mumbai
Special local late night trains will also be put into service for travelers to travel while BEST will also make special buses on New Year’s Eve to Mumbai.
The Central Railway (CR) will run four additional suburban services between CSMT-Kalyan and CSMT-Panvel stations after midnight on December 31 for the convenience of New Year’s Eve festivities.
“These special commuter trains will stop at all stations. Of the four services, two will run on the main line and the rest on the port line,” a CR spokesman said on Monday.
All these premises will leave at 1.30 am from CSMT (main and port line) to Kalyan and Panvel stations. Western Railway had announced that it would operate eight special services between Churchgate and Virar stations after midnight on 31 December.
Every year, thousands of people from vast neighborhoods travel on local trains to ring the New Year’s Eve at India’s iconic gateway to southern Bombay.
Restaurants, pubs, bars can stay open until 2am in Bengaluru on New Year’s Eve
In Bengaluru, the police department has also made special security arrangements as people will come out to the party to welcome the New Year 2021.
Meanwhile, in Delhi, traffic restrictions will be imposed at Connaught site after 8pm. Vehicles heading to Connaught Place will have to find alternative routes after 8pm on New Year’s Eve. Also, after 9pm, it will not be allowed to leave Rajiv Chowk subway station to avoid overcrowding.
