In a 2020 retrospective article on its official website, at the end of a section on the fourth game we talk about the fifth title. It is referred to as “partial planning and prototyping” for Disaster Report 5 it has already started and “wait” for more news in the future. Here is the full message:
Rumors of a “5“
Maybe there are some who say “All you have to say are ads?”, So I’ll share a little about our next title.
Based on the information I have acquired from sources, I cannot partially disclose, plan or prototype Disaster Report 5 it seems to have already begun.

We look forward to more news in the future.
As Gematsu points out, it’s not the first time Granzella has necessarily provoked the fifth game, but it’s the most official so far.
Disaster Report 4: Summer Memories contains many references to a fifth entry, including the ability to change the title screen to read it “Disaster Report 5?“- So it’s no surprise to hear a fifth game on the way.
