We’ve been hearing a lot of new leaks and rumors related to a possible remake or sequel Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic during the last month. While absolutely none of these rumors have yet been confirmed, given the large number that have surfaced, it is logical that there is some accuracy in what has been going around. Now, even more information has emerged that gives us an idea of how long this new one lasts DIRTY apparently it has been in the works.
Seen by Reddit user u / mtol115, Aspyr, which is the studio that is rumored to be working on this new Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic , appears to have prompted a number of previous BioWare staff members in 2019. The user found that approximately 20 former BioWare developers currently have staff at Aspyr. While some of these former BioWare employees have been at Aspyr for quite some time, others ended up joining important roles in the studio in 2019.

Taken together, this information seems to suggest that the new iteration of Knights of the Old Republic it is likely to be in development from 2019. Normally, when studios start working on new projects of this type, they will incorporate several new contracts at once. The fact that so many developers from another prominent studio working primarily on role-playing games ended up joining Aspyr in 2019 seems to suggest that the game has been produced in some way since then.
Depending on the scope of this new remake / sequel Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, this news could tell us a few things about when to wait for the game. Most AAA game releases tend to see how development periods last three to five years on average. As such, a release of this new one DIRTY as a result, the 2021 game seems pretty unlikely.
That said, it seems possible that this year we may see another resurgence of the series in a different way. Other rumors in recent weeks have suggested that Aspyr is also working on the portability of the first two Knights of the Old Republic games on modern consoles sometime later than 2021. Again, we still don’t know if that’s entirely true, but considering how many other Star Wars games have been brought in in recent years, it’s extremely plausible.
It remains to be seen what the future holds Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic but given the number of rumors and reports that keep popping up, there seems to be a lot of possibility that we will learn more in the future.
