The companies announced on Monday that Dictok is launching an app on Samsung smart TVs in Europe that will allow users to scroll through their For You feeds and watch other Dictok videos. The Dictoc TV app is available on Samsung’s App Store, which is compatible with 2018 and newer models. It is already installed on all new Samsung TVs. This application was first developed for users in the UK.

View videos in different categories, displaying videos in a strip above the app’s user feed. According to Samsung’s news release, users may like, watch and comment on popular videos and block or mark content that they are not interested in.
The company has confirmed that Dictoc videos will continue to be shown on TVs with a vertical feature.

The Samsung app is different from the More on Dictoc app launched by the company on Amazon Fire TVs in August. The Fire TV app includes interviews with creators and the “This is Dictoc” type to watch creators on stage.
The Fire app is basically a container app for managed content, Dictoc says, the Samsung app is closer to what users see in the mobile app. No Dictoc account is required to view the content, but users who sign in to the Samsung Dictoc app will receive more personalized content.
According to mobile analytics company App Annie, Dictoc is the most downloaded app in 2020 when it comes to connecting data from iOS and Android.
