All right, whoever can shout louder wins
Things have gone a little differently in the ad field of The King of Fighters 15 with the great Gamescom trailer and Ash Crimson reveals, so it’s been a month since we’ve been losing our silhouette memes.
However, it has finally changed with the latest teaser of SNK characters, which means, of course, that the director of Street Fighter 5, Takayuki Nakayama, has also returned with a new sketch of how he plays the shadow man.
While not exactly an villain like most of Nakayama’s other illustrations, Sho Hayate technically appeared as a special character from the group’s leader in The King of Fighters 11.
This strange ball from the portrait of a Savage Reign star is one of the most detailed he has made of this series of jokes, giving Sho real shadows and excesses of battle.
It might just seem a little creepy considering Nakayama was still working within the confines of SNK’s silhouette, where he decided to replace the apparent hooded figure with Hayate’s signed boomerang.

The director of Street Fighter also refers to his iconic battle cry in the text … which just screams “Uooooooooh!” out loud.
As for Hayate’s chances of becoming KOF15, they probably aren’t as fantastic as most of Nakayama’s selections, but that boils down largely to him having no ties to the main cast outside of his brief stint at KOF11.
We’ll just wait a little longer to find out the true identity of the silhouette, although there are a couple of safe bets on who will appear on our screens later tonight.
