Nicole Besuten, 32, of Manhattan, was charged with disorderly conduct and restraint by the government. Besuten was released with a notice to appear in court. He called the allegations “false and incredibly harmful,” and cited an account of the incident from an injured protester he had assisted, who said Besuten provided care and comfort before the EMTs arrived and his arrest was not counted. The protest march began in Times Square and aimed to draw attention to the ongoing hunger strike of immigrant inmates at a prison in New Jersey. .
