A passenger who allegedly hit the face of a Delta flight attendant in October on a flight from Miami to Atlanta is being fined $ 27,500.
Federal Aviation Administration officials announced the penalty on Friday, ABC News reports.
The unnamed passenger on the Oct. 19 Delta flight was traveling and was sitting next to another passenger who refused to wear the mask, secure the tray table or fasten his seat belt, the FAA said.
The pilots returned the flight to the door and the flight attendants asked the two passengers to get off the plane.
