The first 16,000 vaccines against COVID-19 arrive in Puerto Rico

At around 9:40 a.m. today, Monday, the first shipment of COVID-19 vaccines arrived in Puerto Rico for use in the personal physician of 65 hospitals, confirmed the assistant general of the National Guard, General José Juan Reyes.

“We are receiving the first deliveries of the total that will be received this week. Totaling 30,225 (vaccines). Today, two of the five deliveries are received. These two deliveries are approximately 16,000 vaccines “, the general explained to The New Day.

“These vaccines will be repackaged to proceed with the distribution of the 65 hospitals in Puerto Rico, which will be carried out tomorrow. It is a simultaneous delivery that will be made to the 65 hospitals to begin the process of vaccination of health professionals “, he added.

Reis va destacar que les vacunes, fabricades per la farmacèutica Pfizer, serien reempaquetades en Ponce i aquest martes estaran rebent un altre cargament, així com els meus militars.

“Per així totalitzar les 30.225 que estarem rebent aquesta setmana. Las órdenes de la semana que viene ya se procedió con esa orden este pasado viernes y debemos estar recibiendo unas 66,000 vacunas la semana siguiente de Pfizer. Esperem per l’aprovació de (la vacuna fabricada per) Moderna ”, va indicar el general.

Las vacunas de la farmacéutica Pfizer que arribaron hoy a la isla vinieron en un vuelo de Memphis y el acarreo estuvo a cargo de la empresa Fedex.
