Florida delivered the first dose of its initial corona virus vaccine to a nurse at Tampa General Hospital. The shot was fired during a press conference with government spokesman Ron Desantis, who said health workers would be the first to receive the vaccines.
Minutes before the first dose was given to 31-year-old nurse Vanessa Arroyo, she said, “Today we will carry the weapons.” “Health workers will be vaccinated sooner than anyone expected six months ago.”

Arroyo works in the hospital’s new COVID-19 unit and is the first in the country to receive the vaccine. His shot came just hours after another nurse in New York believed it was America’s first dose.
Early releases of the vaccine are referred to as the beginning of the end for the infection. However, according to Surgeon General Jerome Adams, the results have not yet arrived here.
“This is a great day, this is a historic day, this is the beginning of the end, but we still have a few miles left to run in this race,” Adams told Fox & Friends.

Desandis said the government expects to receive more vaccines a week and hopes the FDA will grant Emergency Application Accreditation (EUA) to Moderna’s vaccine candidate, with more vaccines expected to arrive next week.
