ABC15 was at the Phoenix HonorHealth facility Monday morning when they received the first shipment of vaccines. Health officials were seen unpacking the vaccines and placing them in freezers to store them.

The forecast was available Monday on the Maricopa County website for those in Phase 1A, which includes health workers, education, long-term care centers, pharmacies and more.

According to Maricopa County health officials, additional federal guidance is expected for vaccine distribution beyond Phase 1A in the coming weeks.

“Once recommendations are made and more information is known about vaccine availability, state and local health officials will be able to determine the most effective and equitable way to vaccinate other priority groups,” the county website says.
