The National Baseball Commission announces, through an information note, the positive condition in the COVID-19 of five members of the Industrial team. The document states that “the diagnosis resulted from examinations performed on all members of this payroll earlier this week.”
The information adds that, as part of the health protocols established in our nation, “all five players were hospitalized to receive specialized treatment and their contacts meet a quarantine period.”
In statements a Granma, the national commissioner of the discipline, Ernesto Reinoso, said that due to the relocation of the capital team to a province that is highlighting a complex epidemiological situation, not only were the usual samples made at the wedding, but tests were carried out on all the staff who move to everything, including the television workers, commissioners, referees and Pinar del Río’s own team.
“The most important thing is the health of the athletes, who are being properly cared for, in the case of Industriales, in the isolation center of Las Terrazas, in Havana. Once the health protocols are complied with and when the teams are in a position to play, we will announce the new calendar with the rearrangement of the games to the days we have planned “, added Reinoso.
In a previous press release, the governing body of the National Series had confirmed that yesterday’s games on Wednesday and today Thursday, between Industriales and Pinar del Río, were suspended.
