A tornado in Florida caused warnings in several counties and caused power outages and construction damage Wednesday in a city.
According to WTSP-TV, the National Weather Service said a “confirmed and extremely dangerous tornado” swept through parts of Pinellas County and into Tampa Bay.
The Pinellas Park police department said in a tweet that the tornado destroyed 25 buildings. No injuries were reported.
The tornado itself threatened Hillsborough and Polk counties, and warnings were raised at 5:30 p.m. The National Weather Service advised residents to be careful of stormy weather, according to the Tampa Bay Times.
The dam reported that about 13,000 customers have lost energy in Pinellas Park.
Photographs on social media show the damage caused to Pinellas Park, where tree branches can be seen on top of damaged houses, debris on the ground and even a car that overturned on the road.
