At Friday’s press conference, Doocy noted that Biden had a list of reporters to call on and that Fox News was the only member of the network’s five press networks who failed to ask the president any questions.

“I’m curious if this is the official policy of the administration,” Doocy said.

“We’re here to have a conversation, aren’t we?” Psaki replied. “And I ask you questions every time I come to the information room? The president has been asking you questions since he took office, yes or no? “

Doocy said Biden sometimes answers his questions called at White House events, but that when Biden has a list up front, he never calls Fox News, which goes back to the campaign.

“I’m curious about this list being given to him,” Doocy said. “The only member of the five-network group who never went back to him when he resumed face-to-face events in Wilmington during the campaign.”

Psaki noted that he receives questions from Doocy in the newsroom every day and that he appears regularly on “Fox News Sunday.”

“I would say I’m always happy to have that conversation with you, even about the awesome socks you’re wearing today, and to have a conversation with you even when we disagree,” he said. “The president has accepted your questions and I’m looking forward to doing ‘Fox News Sunday’ this Sunday for the third time in months.”

Biden received questions from reporters at ten different outlets on Thursday during his first press conference as president, but moved remarkably away from the news leaning to the right of Fox News.

Doocy has become a regular Psaki combat comrade in daily briefings, challenging the White House with occasional questions about immigration and other hot topics of the day.

The Fox News reporter is also known for trying to get Biden to answer impromptu questions at scripted events and to ask questions that other outlets have avoided on topics like President Hunter Biden’s son.
