The Frankfort couple does a lot in the Kentucky Lottery on their 30th anniversary

FRANKFORT, Ky. (WKYT) – A Frankfort couple achieved great success in the Kentucky Lottery on their celebrated 30th wedding anniversary.

The couple wants to remain anonymous, but the husband told lottery officials that he did not play Cash Ball 225 very often, but had gone to East Wood Shell on Versailles Road in Frankfort to play his Pick 3 and Pick 4 numbers. when he decided to buy a Cash Ball 225 Ticket for the March 9 draw.

The next morning he pulled out the winning numbers on his phone using the lottery app to check his tickets. He checked his Pick 3 and Pick 4 tickets, but won them nothing.

“It was like, wait, I have a Cash Ball ticket to check,” he said. “I always look at the Cash Ball number first and I’m sure I matched. I looked at the other number, I matched and then the other number, I matched and then the other number I matched. I blinked and looked at the last number, realizing that I had all the numbers, ”he told the lottery officials. “I fell into the chair,” he said.

He was about to show it to his wife when he told her to grab his glasses.

“I think I’m dreaming,” he told her.

He looked at the ticket and, for sure, he had matched all the numbers.

“They tickled us to death,” his wife said.

He told the lottery officers that they both continued to work that day.

“It was definitely not a normal workday,” he said.

He headed to Louisville to the lottery headquarters Thursday, where he received an after-tax check for $ 159,751.42.

The couple said they have been renting a house all their married life and will study buying a house.
