The engagement of these lovers began with a rocky start.
The romantic proposal of a man on top of an Austrian mountain ended in disaster on Sunday moments after his new fiancée said “Yes” when he slipped and fell off a 650-foot cliff, according to the sun.
The 32-year-old woman miraculously survived when snow broke her fall from the mountain at Falkert Station in Carinthia, the outlet reported.
Her partner, 27, tried to grab her, but he himself took a turn, which shot 50 feet through the air before taking a bounce and holding on to his beloved life, the Sun reported, citing Bild.
A passerby rescued the unconscious woman while her fiancé, who suffered a vertebral fracture, was rescued by a helicopter.
His injuries were not considered dangerous.
“It simply came to our notice then. If it hadn’t been for the snow, it would have been very different, “said a police officer at the scene.
