Nature is cured, as carmakers go back to various shows and exhibitions and present various objects. In this case, the car manufacturer is GMC at Overland Expo Mountain West 2021 in Loveland, Colorado, with the Off-Road Canyon AT4 OVRLANDX concept. It seems made for Instagram.

Or at least designed for a certain lifestyle that people intend to have on Instagram. There is #vanlife, and then there is land. One is on the roads, the other is not. Both of us they were definitely things before the pandemic, but the pandemic also made them even more modern, social distancing and all that.

The concept of GMC Canyon AT4 OVRLANDX Off-Road is not a production car, but aims to show you all the things I could do it with an AT4 Canyon, a truck that goes for $ 38,400.

A list of functions, by GMC:

With stunning styling and premium appointments awaiting GMC customers, the Canyon AT4 OVRLANDX concept truck was designed for land enthusiasts, with features that include:

  • Factory-built all-terrain chassis with improved body coverage
  • All-terrain tilting panel protectors
  • Cast iron control arms
  • Sturdy front bumper with winch
  • Integrated front recovery points
  • Front and rear electronic locking differentials
  • Wheel lights with integrated work lamps
  • Multimatic DSSVTM shock absorbers
  • Swivel replacement of spare tires so that a spare tire can be kept in the back of the truck and rotated outside the rear door when access to the bed is required
  • Typical lines to protect the windshield from low branches

Sorry, there are actually more things:

Additional features that can help drivers get off the beaten track include:

  • AEV rear off-road bumper
  • Stainless steel truck bed cover
  • Roof mounted tent
  • 270 degree awning
  • Jerry cans for gasoline and water
  • Traction boards
  • Jack and mount off-road
  • Refrigerator and kitchenette
  • Truck storage with drawer system
  • solar panel

I think, in short, #vanlife is slightly cooler than land, because vans are cooler objects than trucks loaded with appliances, but this would be a good truck for land. Maybe it could be you, spending tens of thousands of dollars to wait all in the middle of nowhere.
