The government has reported 1,802 new COVID-19 cases; 17 deaths

Frankfurt, Guy. (WKYT) – Governor Andy Bessier has issued an update on the Govt-19 cases.

The government registered 1,802 new COVID-19 cases on Monday, bringing the total to 224,890 cases in the state. According to the governor, the state sees a positive rate of 8.58 percent.

17 deaths related to COVID-19 were reported on Monday. The state death toll now stands at 2,224.

As of Monday, 1,712 people had been hospitalized for COVID-19-related causes, 441 were in the ICU and 243 were on ventilators. At least 32,050 Kentuckies have recovered from the virus.

Jan. From January 4 the school guidelines will be healthy.

He also said the Kentucky Department of Health recommends returning to face-to-face learning before Jan. 11.

The governor says the official guidelines for Christmas celebrations have not yet been released, but Bessier asks families to consider celebrating this year only with members of your household.
