The group stage of the CONMEBOL Libertadores was raffled off

This Friday in the city of Luque, Paraguay, the group stage of the CONMEBOL Libertadores Cup was drawn.

The Brazilian Palmeiras, champion of the Libertadores 2020, and the Argentine Defense and Justice, winner of the South American 2020, will cross in the group stage of the Copa Libertadores 2021.

As a general rule, two teams from the same country should not be part of the same zone, unless one comes from the preliminary phase.

The group stage will begin on April 21 and end on May 26, at which time the tournament will make a stop to host the Copa America. It will resume in July with the round of 16, the quarterfinals will be in August, semifinals in September and the final will take place on November 20.
