The iJustine Tim Cook interview briefly covers virtual events, iPad mini, AR, stores

A new iJustine Tim Cook interview was conducted immediately after yesterday’s Apple event and has been posted today.

YouTube creator iJustine has made a career for herself essentially as a professional Apple fan and doing it with charm – and the interview was certainly branded. These were some different topics, but you shouldn’t expect to be asked new questions or revelations …

iJustine started by asking him what it was like to go from face-to-face to virtual events, and Cook said he had been pleased with the reaction to these.

It’s great to get such a positive response from people. It’s great to invite people here, to see what it looks like inside and pull back the Apple curtain. I am so happy with the answer we don’t have and how many more people we are able to show our place and invite to our home.

iJustine said the most amazing part of his main note was the iPad mini and asked how Cook saw the new device fit the iPad line.

You know, it’s our biggest update to the iPad mini. People use it in so many different ways, we wanted to appeal to all these kinds of uses. People really enjoy having this amazing device in the palm of your hand and having a full iPad experience […] It’s amazing all use cases and when you have something as ultraportable as this, it’s amazing.

Cook was asked how he saw the new camera features change the way creators use the iPhone.

Things like movie mode, it’s like having a Hollywood platform in your pocket.

After a mutual enthusiasm for the Apple Watch in general and Fitness +, Justine asked how augmented reality will change people’s lives. Cook simply expressed his enthusiasm for RA in general terms.

You know, I’m so excited about RA. Is it one of those few deep technologies that we will look back on one day and wonder how we left our lives without it? […] It’s already a great way to shop, it’s a great way to learn, it improves the learning process, I can’t wait for it to be even more important in collaboration.

Finally, Cook was asked about the opening of the Apple Tower Theater store in Los Angeles and how he saw Apple Stores evolving. Apple’s chief executive spoke primarily about the fantastic restoration of the building after decades of neglect and said the most important thing for him was the ability of stores “to connect communities directly with mentors and community creatives.” .
