The injuries to Aaron Donald and Jared Goff dealt a severe blow to the occasions

The Rams are heading into the second round of the playoffs, but they may face a tough sleigh in future games. As impressive as his performance was against the Seahawks, they didn’t end up unscathed.

Right now, three of the Rams ’highest paid incumbents are injured. During the win over Seattle, Aaron Donald injured his ribs and Cooper Kupp suffered a contactless leg injury at the end of the game. Jared Goff was originally sitting on the bench behind John Wolford when he was recovering from thumb surgery he underwent two weeks ago, but Wolford was injured in a concussion during the match.

This is creating a difficult situation for the Rams. The team and their doctors will find out what will happen to Wolford, Goff, Donald and Kupp over the next few days. Meanwhile, the Rams have to sweat a bit with their current injury situation. The Rams defense is certainly the caliber of the championship and it would be unfortunate to have a series of bad luck to derail their postseason hopes.

On his first return from thumb surgery, Goff completed just nine of his 19 passing attempts for 155 yards and a touchdown. It will be difficult to maintain playoff victories with this type of production.

Then the Rams will play the Packers, Buccaneers or Washington Football Team (let’s be real, they’ll probably play the Packers). Viouslybviament, they would like to be to the fullest in these games. If they can get healthy, or at least in a place where these guys are on the field, the Rams have the talent to delve deeper into the playoffs.

If Wolford and Goff can’t leave, Blake Bortles will have playing time in the postseason. Bortles had a small stretch during the Jaguars ’run until the 2017 AFC Championship game, but that’s not to be trusted.
