The iPad Pro 2021 has hit the target as rumors swirl about the upcoming update

With rumors about an upcoming update to the iPad Pro, which could be announced as part of an alleged Apple event on Tuesday, March 23, it looks like at least one accessory maker has already begun preparations.

A photo shared today on Reddit shows what appears to be a Speck folio that appears compatible with an unannounced 2021 model of the 11-inch iPad Pro, in addition to previous models of the 11-inch iPad Pro and the 10.9-inch iPad Air. The user who submitted the photo said he found the folio on Target’s shelf, but when he tried to buy it, the purchasing system said the item could not be sold until April 6th.

While the packaging does not explicitly mention that the new 11-inch iPad is a Pro model, it is almost certain to be the device it would refer to, as it is not rumored that any other nearby iPad will have a screen. 11 inches. It is rumored that, for example, the ninth-generation iPad has a 10.5-inch screen like the third-generation iPad Air.

While it’s hard to draw firm conclusions from photos like these, it’s possible that Speck has learned that the upcoming 11-inch iPad Pro will have dimensions very similar to those of the current model. This would not be too surprising, as there have been no rumors about a major redesign of the upcoming iPad Pro, with key new features expected to include a Mini-LED display, a faster A14X chip and 5G compatibility in the models mobile phones.

Nor would we read too much about the alleged sale date of the Target on April 6 for the Speck brochure, but at least it’s within the late March to early April period for the next iPad Pro update that was informed by DigiTimes rather today.

Interestingly, most rumors have only mentioned a new 12.9-inch iPad Pro and not an 11-inch model, but the devices tend to update simultaneously. In March it is common for Apple to announce new or updated products, with other rumors, including the long-awaited AirTags, a new Apple TV, new AirPods and more Apple silicone Macs.

Apple last updated its iPad Pro line in March 2020 with a slightly improved A12Z chip, an Ultra Wide camera, a LiDAR scanner and better sounding microphones.
