Following the Walmart debacle, Litecoin receives a boost from AMC along with Ethereum and Bitcoin Cash
AMC CEO Adam Aron has taken to Twitter to announce that the largest U.S. movie chain will begin accepting Ethereum, Litecoin and Bitcoin Cash on top of Bitcoin.
Cryptocurrency enthusiasts: You probably know @AMCTtheatres has announced that we will accept Bitcoin for online ticket payments and concessions by the end of 2021. Today I can confirm that when we do, we also expect that we will similarly accept Ethereum, Litecoin and Bitcoin Cash. pic.twitter.com/uKcFyQotoJ

As reported by U. Today, Aron initially revealed his company’s plan to add support for the larger cryptocurrency during a profit call in early August.
At the time, he also said that AMC would consider other blockchain relationship options, which is why payments with altcoin seem like a logical step for the movie chain.
The Leawood-based company made many headlines due to volatile moves in its shares in early 2021 after it became the love of retailers during the GameStop craze.
Shares of AMC closed at $ 46.84 on Sept. 15.
