The Las Vegas Electric Daisy Carnival security plan was rejected in May

LAS VEGAS (KTNV) – The plan presented by the organizers of the Electric Daisy Carnival has been denied.

The Nevada Department of Business and Industry has confirmed that they denied the safety plan for the three-day giant music festival because it did not meet the requirements of Directive 041 related to capacity or social distancing. The festival usually attracts about 200,000 attendees a day.

They also confirmed that no new plan has been submitted at this time.

This year’s festival is scheduled for May 21-23 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. EC insomnia Pasquale Rotella said last month that it could be postponed until November if necessary and would provide an update on April 8 or earlier.

The plan presented indicated that festival attendees and employees should provide vaccination evidence or a negative COVID-19 test to enter the venue. It was also said that there would be COVID-19 detection dogs and all attendees should wear masks. In addition, there will be quick tests available at the festival if needed.

According to the plan, EDC organizers did not believe that social distancing was necessary because of the other requirements and because it is an outdoor event.
