The Las Vegas Raiders reach a one-year deal with receiver John Brown, the source says

The Las Vegas Raiders have agreed a one-year contract with wide receiver John Brown, a source confirmed to ESPN.

The deal is worth $ 3.75 million and could reach a value of up to $ 5.5 million if the incentives are met, the source said.

Brown joins a wide body of Raiders receivers led by the first round 2020, Henry Ruggs III and Hunter Renfrow. Las Vegas released veteran receiver Tyrell Williams earlier this offseason.

The Buffalo Bills launched Brown earlier this month in a move that cleared $ 7.93 million in the salary cap.

Brown, 30, prepared for a career season for the Bills in 2019, setting professional highs with 72 receptions and 1,060 yards while acting as Buffalo’s No. 1 receiver.

These figures dropped sharply in 2020, with injuries limiting him to just nine games and the second-highest receiving (33) and yardage (458) total of his career.

A 2014 Cardinals third-round draft pick, Brown has 320 receptions for 4,748 yards and 31 touchdowns in 96 career games for Arizona, Baltimore Ravens and Buffalo.

NFL reporter Adam Caplan first reported the news of the Brown deal.

ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler and Marcel Louis-Jacques contributed to this report.
