The leak of the war zone confirms a huge battle between players and zombies for Verdansk

A new one Call of Duty: Warzone apparently, an audio leak confirms that a new “Plague” mode will see a huge battle between players and zombies over Verdansk. The Twitter account @ZestyCODLeaks shared the audio and includes several minutes of audio detailing the conflict. From the audio, we can distinguish that the players are fighting for Verdansk, while trying not to get infected with the undead. The audio also mentions a nuke entering Verdansk. If players are successful in Pest mode, they will be exfiltrated. If they fail, the nucleus will detonate and cause fire and destruction in Verdansk.

A link to the audio clip can be found in the embedded tweet below.

The zombies arrived Call of Duty: Warzone with the update of last week’s second season, but so far they have remained confined to the wreck map part. If an audio leak is believed to occur, the undead will eventually spread to more Verdansk locations, causing the new Plague mode to be taken to audio. For months there have been rumors that Verdansk is being replaced and there have been other recent rumors about the nuclear destruction of the current map. This event could be the catalyst for the end of Verdansk.

As for leaks, this one is really interesting. Zombies have long proved to be a popular part of Call of Duty games, so it’s easy to imagine Plague mode being a hit with War zone fans. Until Activision and Raven Software make any official announcements, fans should take the filtration with a grain of salt. Sure, it seems legitimate, but plans often change. There have been a lot of seemingly authentic leaks that didn’t come out for one reason or another. For now, War zone fans will just have to wait and see what the future holds for us.
