Reports said the Taliban leader, in the audio, blamed the ISI of the “non-inclusive” cabinet that the Taliban have announced this week.
An alleged audio clip goes viral on social media claiming that the clip’s voice belongs to Taliban leader Mullah Fazel Akhund, who is assassinating Punjab (Pakistan) for “destroying everything.” Reports said Mullah Fazel, deputy defense minister in the interim cabinet, also referred to the recent visit of ISI chief Hameed Faiz to Kabul which, according to the audio, “has ruined the entire future of Afghanistan. and another war is expected. ” Hindustan Times did not. independently verify the authenticity of the viral audio clip.
A News18 report said the audio mentioned a shooting incident at the president’s palace between Faiz Hameed’s bodyguards and Taliban commanders.
Faiz Hameed’s recent visit to Kabul raised questions about Pakistan’s role behind the Taliban and reports said the ISI chief visited Afghanistan to mediate between the Taliban and the haqqani. Prior to his visit, the Taliban were to announce a cabinet under the leadership of Mullah Baradar. After the visit, there were some changes in the plan that the final cabinet was created under the leadership of the supreme Taliban leader, Akhundzada. Two prominent Haqqani leaders have also been added to the cabinet. Reports said this was not the cabinet the Taliban were planning, as they had promised an inclusive cabinet.
The shock during the visit of the head of the ISI was not the first with respect to the formation of the cabinet. According to reports, the visit was motivated by a clash between the Taliban and the Haqqani network in which Mullah Baradar was wounded.
After the Taliban took power in Afghanistan, Pakistan officially distanced itself from the Taliban by using the fact that Mullah Baradar was in prison in Pakistan until the US wanted release.
The head of the ISI had said his visit was intended to discuss the country’s situation with management. Due to his visit, the announcement of the interim cabinet was delayed last week.
