The MacBook Pro ‘M1X’ will arrive in “several weeks”

Apple’s “California Streaming” event has the chance to showcase new MacBook Pro models with the M1X chip, with a report stating that orders could open in “several weeks” of the event.

In Sunday’s “Power On” newsletter for Bloomberg, Mark Gurman says the M1X MacBook Pro models should “hit the shelves in the coming weeks.” While Apple is likely to use the special event to release the updated models, Gurman does not say they will appear during the presentation, but they are slated for an fall release.

As for the specifications of the new models, Gurman says they will use “high-end M1 chips,” that will have “MagSafe magnetic charge,” and that they won’t have a touch bar. As previously rumored, will include mini LED backlit screens, which will allow high levels of contrast and better color representation.
