The city of Dallas and Dallas County will open a mega vaccination site in Fair Park on Monday, where the county health department expects up to 2,000 people to be vaccinated each day.
“We vaccinated thousands of our most vulnerable residents in Fair Park this coming week with over 100,000 people on the list, the list will grow daily and the state will give us enough vaccines to vaccinate six to seven thousand people this week,” Dallas El County Judge Clay Jenkins said in a statement. “Obviously we won’t reach everyone, so I appreciate your patience and grace as we work on the massive North Texas vaccination.”
Vaccines can only be made by appointment from Monday to Saturday, from 8 am to 5 pm, depending on the availability of the vaccine.
Dallas County residents and non-Dallas County residents who meet the requirements for the Phase 1A or Phase 1B vaccine can sign up for an appointment on the Dallas County website. Entrants will receive a confirmation email to notify them that they have previously registered and learn more about the following steps.
“With more than 100,000 registered residents and many more in need of vaccination, this partnership with the county is critical to returning to a sense of normalcy,” said Emergency Management Office Director Rocky Vaz. in a written statement.
