The meteorologist’s dog shows up funny during the Toronto weather storm

He saw candy in anticipation and he was right.

A Toronto meteorologist’s dog made an adorable cameo on Friday during a weather broadcast. Anthony Farnell of Global Toronto was in the middle segment when his well-known puppy, Storm, showed up to greet. After watching his owner for snack, he stayed all the time walking around the screen and watching Dad make the news.

“Anthony finished his segment smoothly while Storm whipped his appetite (and attacked the camera a bit) … all in a day’s work!” the station wrote next to a segment clip.

The long-term spectators had nothing extraordinary: the puppy, known as “Storm the Weather Dog”, is a famous person in itself. The miniature goldendoodle has made some impromptu on-air appearances in the past and went viral almost ten years ago when it appeared on the Global News anchor board during the nightly broadcast.

It has since become a studio appliance and, according to Global News, often accompanies its owner to charity and educational events to teach children about meteorology.
