Acclaimed fashion designer Alexander Wang has been accused of sexual assault and misconduct by several people
The claim of a model according to which Alexander Wang was sexually assaulted in a crowded club in New York in 2017 has sparked an accusatory attack against the acclaimed designer.
Owen Mooney, model and graphic designer, presented her story in a couple of TikTok videos that went viral on Monday.
In the first video, Mooney claimed he had been “retouched” by a “very famous designer” while he and his friends were watching rapper CupcakKe perform at a club three years ago. He did not provide a name until the second video, after commenters guessed it was Wang.
“I was alone at one point and this guy next to me obviously took advantage of the fact that no one could move,” Mooney said.
And it started to touch me. Like, completely up the leg, in the crotch. It made me freeze completely because I was so shocked.
“Then I look to my left to see who I was and was a very famous fashion designer and I couldn’t believe I did.”
He described the incident as “really hidden” and said he had to “slowly walk away” from the designer he called a “sexual predator” in his second video.
Mooney’s account was on Monday in addition to a dozen posts posted to Instagram and Twitter by industry surveillance manager Sh * t Model Management (SMM), most of which were shared via screenshots of allegations submitted by anonymous users.
Some of the accusers, who included transgender men and women and cisgender men, told stories similar to Mooney’s. Others claimed that Wang drugged his drinks with MDMA without his knowledge.
Wang’s representatives have not responded to several requests for comment from DailyMail.com.
The designer, who became known for his star parties after the successful launch of his fashion label in 2005, declined to comment when he approached WWD and InStyle.

“With everything that has come to light, I want the focus to be on the many complaints that come up after sharing my story,” Mooney said Monday. “While what happened to me was unacceptable, the stories told by other victims is why I’ve been public.”
Mooney did not return several requests for comment from DailyMail.com, but released a brief statement Monday.
“With everything that has come to light, I want the focus to be on the many complaints that are filed after sharing my story,” Mooney said, according to Insider.
“While what happened to me was unacceptable, the stories told by other victims is why I have been public.”
Insider also spoke with another prosecutor, Nick Ward, who claimed that Wang “caught” the crotch at a DJ event in Brooklyn in 2017.
“As I passed, he turned, squeezed me, and kept walking,” Ward said.
“When I realized what happened, I announced to my friend,‘ that guy took my d ** k ’and they’re all like‘ this was Alexander Wang ’.
Ward first detailed the incident in a Twitter thread from September 11, 2017, which he shared on Instagram the fashion account Diet Prada, which has more than 2.3 million followers.
Both Diet Prada and SMM urged their followers to boycott Wang’s brand in light of the allegations.
“Alexander Wang is an alleged sexual predator, many male and trans models have come out and talked about the alleged sexual abuse Alexander Wang has inflicted on them,” the SMM message said.
“It’s important to show your support for these victims by stopping following Alexander Wang and boycotting his clothing line.”

The New York fashion designer (left with Kylie Jenner and right with Bella Hadid) is known for her party lifestyle and for organizing star-starred events.
One of the unnamed accusers who spoke to SMM claimed that his friend, who is a trans man, had been in a limousine with Wang after a party “some time ago” when the designer offered him water and left. make sure he drank everything.
“Moments later, they realized they were rolling and had been giving molly water,” the anonymous said.
“It was a common fact because a year after I was told this story, I also heard other people confirm that they were also drugged on the way to any subsequent party.”
Another alleged victim also claimed that Wang had done the same “Molly water trick on me,” while the third accused him of drugging two friends in 2014.
Diet Prada claimed that allegations against Wang have been circulating for months, if not years.
In its post, the account shared screenshots of Instagram stories, rapper Azealia Banks posted in 2019 that included anonymous allegations against Wang.
Although Banks posts have since disappeared from his Instagram, they were captured and archived by Twitter users.
Wang turned off comments about his latest Instagram post on Monday. The official Instagram account of his brand did the same in all of his posts.

WWD spoke with a lawyer, Harley Lewin, who has worked with Wang on multiple intellectual property cases in the past, about the scandal that spread on social media.
Lewin said he does not represent Wang, but considers him “a friend and a colleague.”
“I didn’t know he was stepping on the line, so to speak.” I know that he is a very kind and attentive and attentive person “, he said.
He did not comment on the specific allegations against Wang, but spoke extensively about similar situations.
“I’ve been on both sides of these situations,” Lewin said. ‘There are compelling reasons why any allegation of misconduct is treated with respect and with credibility and credibility. People have to introduce themselves and maybe expose themselves to teasing or other equally nasty things that happen to people on the internet.
“The other side is that there’s often a level of innocence or stupidity, frankly. Old school people acting in old school, not feeling sensitive without intention, but still getting off the line.”
Lewin said he has been “wrongly charged” personally, without providing further details, as he urged the public not to reach conclusions.
“I have great sympathy for both parties,” he said. “I would simply ask that people be given the proper credibility to be heard by both parties. And that people refrain from making judgments based on allegations and allegations of public pronouncements in the press.”
